Entonces, el flujo de nutrientes presentó una relación inversa con la digestibilidad, así el heno que presentaba un mayor flujo tenía una menor digestibilidad.________The objective of this study was to evaluate the characteristics of ruminal digestion and nutrients flow to duodenum an ileum of alfalfa hay (Mediacgo sativa) cut in summer and winter. Four Holstein steers (240±KgBW) fitted with cannulas in rumen, duodenum and ileum were used in a cross over design with the following treatments: summer hay (SH) and winter hay (WH). Data ere analyzed using PROC GLM (SAS) and means were compared using the Tukey test (p!0.10). Flow of DM, OM, NDF, ADF, and NN to duodenum, as well as flow of DM, OM, NDF and ADF in ileum was larger (p!0.10) for SH as compared to WH. Rumen and total digestibility of DM, OM, NDF, ADF and NN was higher (p!0.10) for WH than SH. Therefore, nutrients flow showed an inverse relationship with digestibility, since the hay with a larger flow showed a lower digestibility.
